New and improved Ceiling Ring!

The VELUX Sun Tunnel has received a face lift!  The brand-new ceiling ring design started hitting the market in early September with the TMR 014 model.  Expect this new ceiling ring to be rolled out to the remaining 10” and 14” models over the next few months. Its sleek and sophisticated “Edge Glow” was designed to provide even more light into the space while creating architectural elegance.  The ceiling ring is more energy efficient than previous versions, fits tighter with the rigid tubing and it has a smooth taping surface for tighter and easier installation.  Homeowners can select from a wider range of decorative diffuser lenses designed to transform the space. It is important to note that the Manual light block shade (ZTK) and the Decorative diffuser dome (ZTB) is no longer compatible with this ceiling ring.  There was also a change with the Energy kit ZTC 041 design has been replaced with ZTC 051.

VELUX ACTIVE - The smart skylight

A SKYLIGHT THAT THINKS FOR ITSELF!

Whether your client is at home or away, VELUX ACTIVE with NETATMO is their home’s climate control and monitoring system. It’s trusted to do the thinking for them to automatically air out their home for a healthier indoor environment. The sensor-based control pairs with their smartphone using an app so that they can monitor their rooms temperature, humidity and C02 levels; while also reading external weather forecasts to proactively operate their blinds. The system will even send notifications to keep them informed of airings or when the room has poor air quality.     

What’s great about this system is that it is backwards compatible with any VELUX solar or electric skylight manufactured after 2010. It is very easy and takes 15 minutes to upgrade from the old remotes to VELUX Active.
